The Artist Yadegar Asisi
The Artist Behind the Worlds.
Panorama artist Yadegar Asisi doesn’t create images. Instead, he creates worlds. For more than twenty years, he has been inviting people not only to view history, natural wonders, and culture—but to step right into them. His monumental 360° panoramas are now among the largest art installations in Europe and have already captivated millions of visitors.
“A panorama isn’t just a picture on the wall. It’s a space for perception.”
Yadegar Asisi Artist's Vision
For Yadegar Asisi, every panorama begins with a pencil. Because drawing means truly seeing the world—patiently, attentively, and without haste. This attitude also shapes his panoramas. In an age when we consume images in fractions of a second, they create a space where the opposite happens: silence. Slowness. Leisure. “I want to give people back the leisure of contemplation,” says Yadegar Asisi.
In a panorama, there is no predetermined viewpoint. No correct order. No script. You decide for yourself where your gaze wanders, which story you discover, which detail moves you. You become the director of your own vision.
Perhaps that is precisely where the special power of his art lies: It does not demand your attention. It gives it back to you.

Concept and Biography A Child of Curiosity
Even as a child, Yadegar Asisi was fascinated by one question: How can you design a two-dimensional surface so that it feels like a world of its own? This quest continues to guide him to this day.
Yadegar Asisi is one of the most significant contemporary panorama artists. Born in Vienna, raised in Saxony, and influenced by architecture, drawing, and painting, he developed his very own art form: the modern panorama.
He was particularly inspired by the masters of the Italian Renaissance and their ability to create impressive three-dimensional worlds on two-dimensional surfaces. After studying architecture in Dresden and painting in Berlin, Asisi combined this fascination with in-depth scientific research. This is how his monumental 360° panoramas come to life, in which art, architecture, and history merge into unique spatial experiences. For more than two decades, his works have captivated millions of visitors both at home and abroad.
In addition to his panoramas, Asisi’s body of work also includes architectural projects, spatial installations, stage designs, and exhibitions that reflect his passion for perspective, space, and illusion.
